FET day is here! Of course I am still a ball of nerves with my bladder full. The drive to the clinic wasn’t bad. The waiting room was full today and it was nice for B to be able to come back to pre-op. He got into scrubs while I got into my hospital gown.

This time was very relaxed as compared to retrievals. My vitals were taken and an ultrasound to see how full my bladder was. The embryologist came and showed us a picture of our embryo and discussed what to expect. I was surprised to hear if implantation occurs it should occur within 24-48 hours.

The nurses were nice and reviewed that in early pregnancy no symptoms may be noted. Not too long later it was time to walk into the OR. It was weird to be fully awake for a procedure in there. B got to see our embryo under the microscope prior to transfer which I thought was super cool. I just had to lay there as comfortably as one could. Overall, the transfer was pretty painless and took under 15 minutes. Just uncomfortable from the speculum and a full bladder.

It was fun shimming from the OR bed back into the other bed to be transferred to recovery. I had to stay laying down for 10-15 minutes before we could leave or use the restroom. I was told to take it easy the rest of the day as if it was a sick day.

I was emotional throughout the day because it’s hard not to second guess everything when this is something you want so badly. The statistics about day 7 embryos crept into my brain. I have to keep reminding myself what’s meant to be will be and that my body and this embryo can do it! So stick embaby (love bug) stick! I am officially PUPO! Cheers to the TWW and bless my sanity.
