We made it in the nick of time. The day I started my cycle I got a call from the clinic noting the manager was going to let me utilize the authorizations already on file to pay for this cycle. Still a wild concept to me why this isn’t standard practice. Any who… paid for this cycle and was scheduled for our baseline labs and ultrasound for the following day.
The drive to the clinic was pretty swift which was a surprise. We saw a different NP today. To everyone’s surprise I had multiple follicles already at 12-15mm, which is not what you want to see on the second day of your cycle. The NP didn’t think they were cysts but wasn’t sure they were follicles produced by estrogen and said well here from the doctors that afternoon once the lab work has been reviewed.
I was definitely worried this cycle was then going to be cancelled. B voiced how proud he was of me and how I handled this news. All we could do was wait.
Surprisingly, I heard from the nurse within three hours of my appointment and we were cleared to start cycle three though with more monitoring appointments necessary. What a relief! I am curious to see how it turns out and if we end up having a retrieval earlier than anticipated.
B prepped and administered today’s one and only stim shot. It was quite comical and definitely my favorite part of the day. So cheers to cycle three!
