I met with one of the nurse practitioners for the first time today. She was nice. As of today, my body responded really well to this cycle of stims. My left side has 7+ follicles growing with most already at 17mm. My right side has about 7 visible follicles that have grown with a majority at 15/16mm. The nurse practitioner noted they may have me come back in tomorrow but depending on what labs say I may trigger tonight but likely tomorrow. That means retrieval as of this morning is slated for Saturday until told otherwise.

I couldn’t wait to call B and tell him that we are seeing 14-15 appropriately growing follicles! The goal is to get to 14-16 mature eggs to fertilize. B stated maybe another cycle isn’t needed if we are expected to get 10 from this cycle. I messaged the clinic and they said it’s our choice though then we would have to remain hopeful the 4 eggs from last cycle survive the thawing process. Ultimately, B and I decided to stay the course. We will do another cycle of stims and one last retrieval. With this news I am definitely more excited to see what’s to come. This cycle so far has been pleasantly better than the last. Maybe because I’m mentally prepared or my body responded better but I am finding the silver lining in this journey.

It is confirmed they would like me to come in tomorrow morning to do another round of labs and an ultrasound. Sounds like we will trigger tomorrow night! I’m lucky that my mother will be here to see the end of this cycle though it will be a long day as it’s the day the kids fly out. It will all work out and it will all be okay 🙂
